Drum Original Blue 50g — Dark Kentucky & Virginia fine-cut hand rolling tobacco
A fine-cut hand rolling tobacco composed of dark air-cured Kentucky and bright Virginia leaf in a 50 g resealable pouch format.
Drum Original Blue 50g is a loose, fine-cut rolling tobacco with a medium to dark brown appearance created by combining darker fire/barrel-cured leaf with lighter flue-cured strands. The cut is narrow and slightly springy, allowing compression during rolling while retaining airflow. The blend is typically based on Dark Kentucky (air or barrel-cured) and Bright Virginia (flue-cured) tobaccos. Exact ratios are not officially specified and may vary slightly by production batch and regional regulatory formulation. The product is supplied in a moisture-resistant laminated pouch with an adhesive reseal strip to reduce humidity loss after opening. No accessories are included.
Product Highlights
Tobacco character centers on earthy, woody and slightly smoky notes from Kentucky leaf
Bright Virginia contributes dry hay-like and faintly sweet vegetal undertones
No explicit flavor casing declared; sensory sweetness originates from natural cured leaf sugars
Blend profile is denser and darker than typical straight-Virginia rolling tobaccos
Why Smokers Choose Drum Original Blue 50g
Longer storage stability after opening due to resealable packaging
Reduced frequency of repurchase compared with small pouches
More consistent moisture control across multiple rolling sessions
Lower cost-per-gram relative to smaller formats

Been smoking Drum Blue for years and this Japanese import doesn’t disappoint. The tobacco stays moist in the pouch, which is a massive plus when you’re stuck in a rainy queue outside the pub. Tastes fresh, rolls easy, and the price for five packs is spot on. Will definitely be restocking from here.

Absolute bargain for the quality. The blue blend is smooth as silk, none of that harsh throat hit you get with cheaper brands. Rolled a few brollies after my pint last night and they burned evenly. Proper job.

Cracking value. Five packs last me a good while. The tobacco isn’t too dry which is a common issue with other brands. Highly recommend for regular smokers looking to save a few quid.
